Worn Records - Ghost of the old site
Once I decided to redesign the Worn Records web site, it became apparent that I had the need for only one blog. The original web site was designed completely around blogger.com, with every bands page being a blogger blog. Also the Steamroller, now known as Steamroller Music - Indie Music Blog was also in blog format. This page you are viewing right now, was the original Worn Records.ca home page. So once I redesigned the indie record label web site I decided to do away with the over abundance of blog pages and simply keep just the Steamroller page. Rather than turfing them all, I simply changed the hosting from www.wornrecords.ca to .blogspot so the blogs wouldn't just cease to exist. So here they are. Not sure how often I will post them, but you can always go hit up the new site here: www.wornrecords.ca

Thanks for supporting independent music!

Free Willis Downloads
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of Worn Records recording artist Willis, we will be releasing a series of mp3's for free download. These songs will span the Willis catalog and feature rare live recordings, as well as several demo versions, and never heard before recordings. Also, we plan on making available the entire "Steamroller" E.P. as it was originally released in 1998, except without the cassette tape of course. Check back for the first of these downloads within the next week.

Progress on the upcoming Willis cd release is good. Album title and official track list info will be released as soon as it comes available. This will be the first new Willis recording in almost 10 years, and the first released primarily on cd. These pioneers of power pop continue to work diligently in the 308 Productions studio as they breathe new life into their classic songs. Check the Willis page frequently for studio updates.

Worn Records

Founded in 2000, based out of Vancouver B.C., Worn Records jumped onto the independent music scene, endorsing a new generation of Garage Rock, Power Pop Punk, and Alt-Country Artists. The commitment to the indie music scene, and it's overall success is what drives this label to succeed.
